Chandler + Price Pilot Press

A platen press prints using a 'clamshell' action with a jaw that opens and closes to apply pressure to the printing surface. This press automatically inks the printing surface as you pull on the handle. Large editions of small prints can be made quickly using this press. It is great for notes, postcards, and business cards.

Prints up to a 6" x 9" sheet

Vandercook 0 Proofing Press

A flat-bed cylinder, or proofing press prints using a cylinder that rolls over the printing surface to apply pressure. The press is versatile and can print large blocks, metal engravings, and wood or lead type. Great for printing large format prints.



Prints up to an 11" x 14" sheet

Showcard Proofing Press

Our second flat-bed cylinder, or proofing press features an accurate gripper and registration system that ensures each print layer lands in the same location. Great for large scale, precise projects.

Kelsey Platen Press

We are currently restoring 2 Kelsey 6.5" x 10" presses. They are in great shape, and just need new rollers so that they can be utilized in our studio. Printing Materials

Foundry Type

Our studio features close to 100 different fonts of movable type for your projects. Choose from smaller body type great for for poems or invitations, or larger faces for headings, titles, and creative typography projects.

Wood Type

We have a collection of wood type faces for use in our studio. This type is rare, and has a unique character when printed. Great for use on posters and broadsides.

Cuts + Engravings

Cuts and engravings are small "clip art" like images that were utilized by advertisers to liven up a page of text. Our studio provides an eclectic selection of images to showcase in your work.

Other Printing Resources 

For special projects and collaborations, we also offer access to our more industrial and large scale printing equipment. These resources are available on a limited basis. If you have a project in mind that may require this equipment, we will work with you to make this a possibility! We hope to make this equipment more available to the public as our organization grows.
